Project Overview:

Empathy Heroes is a project that has as it’s goal to teach kids empathy in an easy and quick way . While at the same time intents to be accessible by the kids themselves without parents’ supervision

My role in the project:

In this Google UX Design course, I worked as a UX researcher and as a concept developer during all the phase (empathize, define ideation, prototype and test).

Main Challenges:

Some parents do not have enough time to spend with their kids due to work , as a result thy are unable to teach empathy to their kids.

Persona 1:

Persona 2:

Ideation

I did a quick ideation in order to find the preferable way to present information in my homepage

Digital Wireframes:

After the ideation process I came up with the digital wireframe. In which I intended to put multiple activities for the kids but at the same time I try to make it as clean as possible so kids can navigate to it . This digital wireframe has the additions that usability studies provided

Low fidelity Wireframing:

In order to prepare for the usability study I created a low fidelity prototype

Usabillity study :findings

Add a screen reader:

A screen reader is nessecary so that underage kids can use the site or app by their own. It would also be nessecary for people vision dissabilieties

Mock ups

Thanks to the feedback that usability study provided I added shadow to the buttons in order to make them more distinguishable,a search bar and the ability to activate screen reader

Next steps

More usability studies in

Add a search bar:

A search bar would make the navigation smoother
